[00:00:54] Hello everyone. Welcome back to another episode of the Rebecca Adehill [00:01:00] podcast. I am so happy to have you back here for another episode. If this is your very first time tuning into my podcast, I wanna give you the biggest welcome. I am so happy that you find your way here. I had the most incredible day.
[00:01:21] Yesterday, I had a full mental health day where I just spend time nourishing my mind, my body, and my soul. So I started yesterday morning after school drop off. I went and had breakfast and a coffee with a beautiful friend of mine and we laughed and we cried and we spoke about life and we had one of them beautiful conversations where your heart just feels expanded when you leave.[00:02:00]
[00:02:00] My cup is overflowing, which feels so good. And then after we'd wrapped up breakfast, I went to a beautiful recovery and wellness spa. It's the first time me being there and oh my goodness, it was so nourishing for my body and my soul. I felt like a new woman when I walked out of there. I had a beautiful herbal tea up on arrival.
[00:02:34] I had a magnesium spa bath. I sat in an infrared sauna. I went into a salt room. This is my first time trying a salt room, and I am obsessed. Something happened in there like you walk into this room and white chairs, white walls, no light, just some [00:03:00] natural light coming in, beautiful, relaxing music. You have to wear a pair of socks, white socks as you walk in.
[00:03:09] Everything is white. The full ground is full of salt. The walls are full of salt, and you can even, as you are breathing, you can taste and smell the salt. Even my black phone case started to turn white, but something was so incredible in there and it was just no distractions, nothing to look at. It was just a white room and a few chairs, and you just sit there and it was such a beautiful moment just to sit and be.
[00:03:47] And really be intentional with the being and being in that moment. And I could feel my whole nervous system just like grounding even more. [00:04:00] My breath was slowing down my pulse. It was just so beautiful. And then after that, I went and got ready and I had one of them beautiful again, my first time. One of them beautiful drips that you put in your arm, like a vitamin kind of drip that is full with vitamin C, vitamin B, magnesium, zinc.
[00:04:25] There was like a liver cleansing, something in that, whatever was in that bag of liquid gold. I felt every bit of gold going into my blood and now into my cells. It was so incredible. And then on top of that, I had a beautiful LED light on my skin as I was getting that into my arm, I left Feeling like I just went to heaven and back.
[00:04:53] It was so incredible. And I went to bed early last night and I woke up this morning [00:05:00] and I am feeling full of energy. Like so refreshed mental clarity. My body feels good. I'm in a good mood. All of the things. So if your body needs a bit of nourishing right now, I strongly recommend that you take this one day as a mental health day because you need you to be good.
[00:05:25] You need you to be your best. So I make it a non-negotiable to take out time for me. My business isn't going anywhere if people inside of my DMs have to wait for a little bit, um, for me to get back to them, that is okay. Because I can't push and push and push without looking after me first. So that is also my message for you today.

[00:07:16] Now today's conversation I wanna have with you because I have had a lot of people dropping into my DMs, asking about this offer, asking to work with me privately, dropping into other spaces, masterminds, or you know, speaking around investing full stop. And I know that a lot of people found it, you know, they, they have a lot of scarcity and fear around investing and investing in themselves, investing in their business.
[00:07:42] And I just wanna take an opportunity from two sides here for you as a person that's investing right now. Also, you as a coach, supporting people as they are making the decision whether they want to invest with you or not. So the first part that I wanna speak to [00:08:00] is if you are thinking about investing right now.
[00:08:03] The first thing that I wanna say to you, if you are experiencing fear right now, that is completely normal around investing because that means that you are meeting a new edge. I used to feel a lot of fear around investing, especially when I was in the beginning stages of my business.
[00:08:26] However, I've always had such incredible self-belief that if the investment was something that I could control in terms of I stepped into a space to learn something and I was the one driving it forward, that actually made me really comfortable to make that investment where if it was stocks or something that was kind of outta my control, I will feel a little bit more resistance because I felt like I was investing in something that I had no control over.
[00:08:54] And this is the beautiful thing when we are investing in ourselves and our businesses, is [00:09:00] that we have the ability to really control and drive what we want that outcome to be. I want you to listen to what I just said because as much as if you are considering right now coming into my world and making any investments right now, the first thing that I just want you to feel into is the you, regardless of who you invest with or what you invest in, you are going to be the driver behind this investment.
[00:09:31] So I want you to feel it being a very empowered decision for you, not that you are giving your money away and then you sit back and then you've lost control. That is not how investing in self works, so don't treat it as you are giving something away. I treat it as I am investing because I trust that I am the best ROI [00:10:00] -- return on investment that I could possibly invest in.
[00:10:05] I know that I am my best bet because I can control what I do. And often what I see is that people drop into my DMs sometimes and they say, "Rebecca, can I join this program and you are going to give me this result?" That is something I cut straight away. I don't give people results. I've said this before, and if any other coach or mentor or any business can guarantee you when you are the driver behind something that you are going to get an outcome, they are lying.
[00:10:40] Because I can't control what you do with your time. I can control what resources and what knowledge and expertise I have available, but I cannot control what you do with that. So when people come into my space and they ask me if I can give them results or if they sign up to this, will they get this results?
[00:10:59] I said, I have no idea. I have no idea because I don't, it will be so silly of me to try and manipulate someone into thinking that I am a secret source, that, that I'm gonna fix their life and their problems and they can just make this investment and everything is gonna be fine. So I make sure that my coaching and leadership actually shows before people invest in coming to my world, because what's really important for me, first of all, the integrity aspect, but second to that, in which way people come into my world that I do not want a client to come into my world from a space of scarcity and lack because the frequency in which they are going to invest from is going to be a very low and needy frequency, a very codependent frequency.
[00:11:51] So what's gonna happen when they come into your program or into your space? Is that they're going to go in with the mindset, you need to fix me. And [00:12:00] that is not how I operate my business. So I make sure before someone coming to my space that they invest from the highest possible frequency. "I want to do this.
[00:12:11] I am the one driving this decision. I want to be in your world. I feel really confident moving in this direction with you". That is a very empowered, high frequency space to invest from. So when people come into my world, "I am ready to move. I am so excited to be here. I am ready to roll up my sleeves with you, Rebecca".
[00:12:39] The results that they get inside of my space when they come in from that place is insane because they realize that their responsibility and ownership is on them. So the way they come into my world is clean. We set that expectation before they pay me. The second thing that I wanna share with you, [00:13:00] is how I personally navigate fear.
[00:13:03] Often when we have the sensation and the emotion of fear coming up, our body and our mind is telling us that we, that we are under threat, which often when it's a feeling around the investing, often we are not under threat, not physical threat. Right, but still your body will show signals that this is not safe.
[00:13:24] So what I had to do, instead of pretending like I didn't feel any fear whatsoever, I moved closer to it. I'm like, I'm really feeling fucking scared about this right now. This is a big investment for me. I have all of the feelings coming up, so instead of running the other way, not looking at it, I'm curious and I'll lean into that and I feel in, into what it would feel like for me to move closer to that fear.
[00:13:56] Then what I do, I take myself through a visualization. I [00:14:00] close my eyes and I picture this dark wooden door, and this man stands next to the door. He opens the door, and this door represents fear. And I stand there and I look at the door and I look at the man. He opens this big wooden door. He goes, welcome.
[00:14:26] It's safe for you to step through it. And I walk towards this big heavy door that opened right in front of me and I step through it and then I tune into my body and I feel what it feels like to be on the other side of that fear. That man looks at me and says, "welcome, your next level is granted". When I do this and I visualize myself [00:15:00] stepping through this door and I come onto the other side of this knowing.
[00:15:05] That I am safe. I feel so freaking empowered that I know that this is on me to move, that the fear and the sensation was just a feeling, and I know when the investment is coming back to me, I know that I can trust it. However, if something does not feel aligned, my body will also gimme very clear signals.
[00:15:34] As I've stepped through that it will still feel like something is wrong, and that is often an indication that it's not aligned, and that is often when I go, actually, this wasn't fear. I step through that fear. This is a misalignment, but if I step through and I go, fuck, I've got this. That's when I invest and I back myself in that moment.
[00:15:59] The other [00:16:00] aspect that I wanna share that I've had some people come into my dms and they say, "this is a massive push for me, Rebecca. I just don't know if I can afford this. This is gonna cause stress on me and my family. I just don't know if we are gonna be able to pay the bills again". I put a stop on that.
[00:16:17] And I go, please do not invest if this is going to cause you and your family any financial stress or pressure whatsoever. Again, as much as we want people to join our programs and to come into our world, I would never want someone to come into my world with such short timeline. That they are going to be under so much time pressure to make something work.
[00:16:47] Some people may call that healthy pressure, but when it's going to actually put your family in, in danger or that you're not gonna be able to afford your mortgage repayments, I'm like, [00:17:00] don't invest. Don't invest. Be okay with where you are at and work towards something. And again, this is the integrity part that we actually have to show our leadership as coaches and mentors before people come into our world.
[00:17:15] Because if we are so true to actually helping people become successful, it will be wrong of me and you, if you're a coach or a mentor, to try and convince someone to come into your world when you know that is going to put them out by far. Then rather go hang on a minute. "Why don't you just come and listen to my podcast and take a few little golden nuggets from my podcast.
[00:17:42] Then I suggest you get my a hundred dollars masterclass because that will give you clarity on this. Then I have a short experience program. Maybe that's a bit better for you." Now when we are talking about our client journey, this is gonna be an easy downsell for you to downsell to something that is more suitable to [00:18:00] them in terms of where they're at.
[00:18:02] So it's not our job to convince someone to come into your world, and it's not my job to make a decision for you. It's not my job to tell you what to do. So normally what I would do in that instance is that I put a right back on them and I go, I trust that the decision you are going to make is going to be the perfect one for you and your family.
[00:18:21] So then I am clean in the sense of, I do not suggest someone coming into my world. I know that the decision they've come to is going to be very empowered. They would've crunched their own numbers and got, actually, we can afford this. I know that my business is generating enough to be able to afford this investment, and this is how I'm gonna move.
[00:18:44] This is my vision a hundred percent. We can do this now. I feel good about investing. So they don't feel like they have been cornered into making a decision. They're gonna feel extremely empowered in the process. Now, another thing that I wanna share with you [00:19:00] is my perspective as a coach or a mentor, no doubt that you have felt in the past when people have asked for details about a program, and then you give the details and then they go, great, I'm just gonna have a think about it. And then, You leave it for a minute. You okay? Great. Cool. Have a think about it. I'll speak to you soon. How many times do you go in and see whether they have replied to your dms or if they've checked your story and you're just hovering to see whether they've made up their mind?
[00:19:32] I used to do that when I first started my business because I was so excited If people were gonna sign up to my program or not, said, please, please, please sign up, sign up. Oh my gosh, and then I will be so happy and I celebrate and I will run out to Brodie I'm like, oh my God, another client. I'm so happy.
[00:19:46] It was such a big moment for me, but what I found myself doing did that energy for me was really draining because what I was doing subconsciously is that I was holding space for that person were, they were in a decision making process. Now, what I mean by this as, uh, we had exchanged details, they had walked away to think about it.
[00:20:12] I was still holding space and energy for them, and that is draining because now I could feel my whole body tense up. And you're sitting there and you're waiting for a yes. Please say yes. Please say yes, please reply. I can't operate my business from that frequency. That is like an anxious attachment to an outcome that we cannot control.
[00:20:36] So a non-negotiable that I have when people are in their decision making process, I don't hold space for them. Once I've sent out the details, I cut like it's an energetic cut for me. I still deeply want people to invest. Of course, if that aligns with them. However, I don't hold space for them until they're [00:21:00] inside of my world.
[00:21:01] That is a very clean frequency for me, because otherwise I'm gonna feel drained in the process and I'm gonna try to control things I can't control. So instead, I then focus, I redirect that energy instead of holding space for them when they are making their decision that I cannot control. What I do instead is that I look, okay, great, what can I control?
[00:21:22] I can keep on moving inside of my business. I can keep on making other decisions that I can control. I can continue to lead myself in a way that I can control. So we need to stop in the selling process of try and convince people to make up their mind and also hold space for them when they're making their decision, because that decision is not yours to make, and certainly not on your timeline.
[00:21:44] Let people decide when the time is right for them. You are operating your business. Your business will continue to run, whether they sign up or not. So maybe this sounds very direct and black and white, but I kind of wanted to be that way [00:22:00] because I felt like I got my energy back. People now know that I'm moving no matter what, and it doesn't mean that I don't deeply care about them because I do.
[00:22:10] However I know that it's outta my control to try and decide for them what's gonna be the right or the wrong decision for them. So with that being said, I don't hold space for that process because it drains me. And if I do that with 30, 40, 50 people that are in my DMs at the moment asking for details about their secret offer.
[00:22:31] I will be so drained. I'll send out the link and I keep on moving. And if they miss out, they miss out. And if they don't wanna move into my world, they don't want to. I fully trust that the people that come into my world, they are empowered enough to lead themselves back into my world. If they are a full body, yes.
[00:22:50] If they're not, they're not a full body yes. And that is not someone that I would want in my program. I don't want someone to come into any of my spaces with a convincing energy. I. [00:23:00] And I'm like, you don't even wanna be here. That feels yuck for me. So I trust that people are clever enough to find the link that I've sent them to then lead themselves to the link.
[00:23:10] And sign up if they wanna be in my world, because they also know that I'm gonna keep on moving no matter what. And feel into this for you right now, how empowered that energy actually is. That feels so empowering for me. And when they do lean back in and they go, Rebecca, I've had to think about it. I am in.
[00:23:33] Like that energy, that celebration, that connection, even that they led themselves into my world, into my program. The connection is like electric from day 1. It is so profound when you give people an opportunity to lead themselves back into your world. Then I'm not saying that you can't follow up with people, then I'm not saying that, "Hey, I've got a reminder".
[00:23:59] [00:24:00] X, Y, and Z. Of course you can do that if that feels good for you. But when it comes to selling, and this is the last thing that I wanna share with you today when it comes to selling and selling mastery. I ran a session on this on on Wednesday, earlier this week, and it was such a good session.
[00:24:15] With confidence I can say that I think most people left that call with their minds absolutely blown because I believe in order for us to really master the way we sell and the way we master the way people come into your world and your programs, there is a lot of depth and deep understanding the goes into the selling process and having a deep understanding of our audience, the way we articulate our offerings, the way we articulate the transformation,
[00:24:42] how feel in the selling process, the type of offerings we are selling. There are so much that actually goes into it. And also our selling process and something that I believe and something that I very much do for myself. I was inquiring with a [00:25:00] mentor last week, I believe it was, or a couple of weeks ago. I got a email sent back to me that I had to book a phone call to then speak further into something else, and then it was like another step.
[00:25:12] To then find out more details about this space. And guess what I did? I didn't do it because I had to jump through like five hoops to invest. So that means I'm not gonna take my potential clients through a process that I wouldn't like myself. So, what does that mean for you? It means that you should have a sales process and sell the way you like to be sold to, and often we do the complete opposite.
[00:25:42] You sit there, you don't advertise your prices. Everything is a 10-questions in dms, follow through with the phone call, and then it's a Zoom call, and then it's a link, and then it's an agreement, and then it's like 6, 7, 8 steps to sell. I'm like, there is no way that I can do that, and I wouldn't even like doing that.
[00:25:59] So what's really important is that you first of all, sell the way you'd like to be sold to, and also selling in the way that feels really good for you. Because if you don't have a sales process that feels really good for you, you are going to start to resent selling. So in selling, It's a major part, 80% of your business, sell, sell, sell, sell, sell.
[00:26:19] And if you don't like selling right now, you need to change your sales process to align it with you and your values and your preference to making sure that you can do it consistently and that you can do it even on your bad days. That often people link selling when they're in a good mood. And I tell you right now, that's not gonna happen.
[00:26:39] If I only sold when I was in a good mood or when everything, when all the roses were perfect and whatever else, I wouldn't have a business today. So if you are selling based of your emotions right now, you don't need to be excited to sell. You need to master a way where you can continuously sell in a way that feels good regardless of your mood, regardless of your [00:27:00] emotions.
[00:27:00] This is when we start to operate a business from a very grounded space, and the momentum and the traction and the demand and the results that comes from that place will blow your mind.
